I have to take issue particularly with point 4, that TAG Heuer charge too much for quartz pieces. The price point of a 'luxury' watch is defined by many things but the cost of the movement is very low on the list. If you want to look at the 'cost' of a quartz movement versus the 'cost' of a mechanical movement then you are much more likely to come to the conclusion that the mechanical watches are overpriced versus the quartz pieces...
If they really wanted to TAG Heuer could sell their watches a lot cheaper, but like any company they charge what they think they can get for their goods and they spend a lot of money on advertising, etc to create 'brand awareness' which in turn elevates the price they can charge for their goods. YouTube 'watch gurus' always point at Hamilton and the like as much cheaper alternatives, and they are - but they don't have the 'brand awareness' because they don't spend the money to create it.
