My Top 10 Formula 1s by Jim Dollare$

We are blessed with an abundance of guests here at the TAG Heuer Enthusiast Blogspot of course, but only one contributor gets his own LABEL! I speak of course about our absolute favourite (some might even say 'special') Swedish person, Mr Jim Dollare$.

JIM: What up bromigos? What a lovely thing that Rob is acknowledging and celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Formula 1. This is yet another example of why the TAG Heuer Enthusiast Blog is the one and only site where honest opinions and true watch journalism happens.

As all TAG Heuer fans know, the Formula 1 started out as a tiny, colourful children's watch in a plastic like material making it look like it was sold for $35 at the local petrol station. Luckily it has matured and developed a lot since then and transformed into a proper watch but still super affordable with attractive designs, often becoming the first TAG Heuer for new collectors.

My first TAG was my Red Bull chrono, a mega sexy watch with excellent design but on a thick, sharp super-cheap bracelet and lousy clasp reminding you that this is a 'cheap' TAG. Anyway, lets get into the ultimate number one most perfect top ten Formula 1 list I have personally ever seen.

#10. WAH1319.BA0868 Quartz

JIM: This odd ball is like a watch designed based on my personality, soul and spirit. I am fabulous and I sparkle!

#9. CAZ101AT.BA0842 Gulf Special Edition Quartz

JIM: One day I hope to have a Gulf branded TAG. In these hysterical crazy times with tree huggers and Greta lovers all thinking that the earth will explode in 75 years due to carbon dioxide (commonly known as plant food, the stuff you learn about in third grade, like the basic fundament for all life on earth), it would feel awesome to wear an oil company's name and logo on my wrist when filling up my car with diesel.

#8. WAZ1010.BA0842 Quartz

JIM: Blue and orange is nice.

#7. CAZ101B.FT8028 Max Verstappen Limited Edition Quartz

JIM: This is like the original Red Bull edition but cooler. But also kind of not as cool. I dont know, I like it and I remember that it was sold in like a tiny shop in Netherlands where Max Verstappen attended the launch party. Pretty cool.

#6. CAZ1018.BA0842 Red Bull Special Edition Quartz

JIM: The original Red Bull edition will be in the history books and remembered as one of the best motor sports watches ever. I got mine back when I still bought in to the whole "F1 is a sport" scam. Then after 7-8 years wasted watching the F1 circus I finally realised that the way they change rules to make it exciting to watch on TV, clearly this is not a sport, it is WWE wrestling for someone who wishes to turn off the brain and watch some made up fake competition but on four wheels.

#5. WAZ2015.BA0842 Bucherer Limited Edition Automatic

JIM: Perhaps a bit too classy for me but for some reason this boring watch just works.

#4. CAZ5080.FC6517 Mario Kart L/E Tourbillon

JIM: TOURBILLION SPINNING WITH MARIO KART ICONS? Yes please! I am the King of Mario Kart. The King deserves this watch.

#3. WAZ1120.BB0879 Quartz

JIM: Blue and yellow gold is so sexy. The 'Aquaracer Douchebag's' little brother. Perfect daily watch. What some nerds would describe as GADA ("genuinely adorable douchebag ass").

2. WAZ1119.BA0875 Alec Monopoly Special Edition

JIM: OK second best F1 is obviously the second Monopoly edition. For this one I remember being in contact with an AD, getting confirmation that it was available in Sweden. Yet I decided not to go for it. To be fair I may have been younger and better looking back then but my bank account was suffering a lot more than today. Still, someone kick me in the head please, I deserve it for not buying this one. Seriously, why did I not just do what poor stupid people do and use a credit card for the purchase?

1. WAZ1117.FT8023 Alec Monopoly Limited Edition

JIM: The one and only, original, Monopoly masterpiece. Limited to 200 pieces. The only TAG Heuer I will forever regret not buying. I love this thing. So much. Seriously, I want to touch it. Hold it. Do stuff with it.

. . . . .

Thanks Jim, we definitely agree on a few watches as will become clear when my Top 10 is published. But where is the orange WAZ101A? Eh? Where is it? Have you been day drinking again? 🤣
